Create And Use Your Own Online Ads

Online Ads are a very important tool in your affiliate marketing program

Many affiliate programs nowadays provide you with promotional materials that you can use. These sometimes cover the full spectrum of advertising, such as banner ads, PPC ads, classifieds, text links, ezine recommendations, solo ads, forum signatures, and even blog posts!

My advice to you is to take the provided material and see if it is appropriate for your list. Always rewrite what was provided in your own words, using your own usual tone of voice. Trust me, your subscribers know how you normally write to them. If you use the text provided by the affiliate merchant verbatim, they will know that it was not written by you.

Also, many of your subscribers are also subscribed to other online marketers lists and they will be receiving the same promotion from them. If your emaillooks exactly the same or even similar, your subscribers are going to lose some respect for you, as you have just regurgitated an email supplied by the affiliate merchant.

It is important that you provide your own perspective on why they should purchase the affiliate product in question. One of the strongest perspectives that you can provide is that of someone (you) who has purchased the product and is giving a review and letting them know how it has helped you, and how you are using the product in your everyday life.

If you can create or offer a unique and special bonus that ties in and compliments the product, then make sure you do that. This bonus could be as simple as a tutorial, a field book, or a companion guide. It can be in the form of an ebook, audio or video (so long as it is digitally delivered).

This will make your email, ad or promotion stand out and avoid the problem of being just another 'me too' ad which your subscribe will be tired of getting and instead can't wait to read your online ads.

How Much Will it Cost to Start an Internet Business ?

Unlike building a new brick and mortar business in Downtown Anywhere, the things you’ll need to start a internet home business are CHEAP.

Here’s a list of the basic tools you’ll need to become an affiliate marketer.

• Desk
• Chair
• Computer
• Internet Connection
• Email
• Text Editor

You probably already have all those things, right?

Even if you don’t have the desk and chair, you can always throw the laptop on your
bed and work from there.

Here are some basic expenses…

Register Domain - $ 8.95/year
Hosting - $ 8.95/year
Web Site Template - $10.00 - $50.00 (once)

With start-up costs this low, I don’t know why anyone would consider starting a
business anywhere other than on the Internet!!

15 Reasons to Become an Affiliate Marketer

There are HUGE benefits to promoting affiliate programs with your own home-based Internet business...

1. No Production Costs - The cost to develop and produce a new product is prohibitive for almost anyone who wants to start a home-based business. With affiliate programs, production costs aren't an issue. The product has been developed and proven - all on the merchant's nickel.

2. Low Cost Set-Up - Compared with building a brick and mortar store, starting a home-based Internet business is relatively cheap. You probably already have a desk, Internet-connected computer and word-processing software, which is all the equipment you may need.

3. No Fees for Joining or Licenses to Buy - I often compare doing business as an affiliate, with distributing a line of products in the real world. The biggest difference is that the distributor must often pay for a license to distribute products within a limited geographic region. Affiliate programs, on the other hand, are usually free to join, and geographic market reach is limited only by the affiliate's ability to promote his web site.

4. Choose From Thousands of Products and Services - What isn't sold online? That list must be shorter than the one describing all that IS sold online. There are thousands and thousands of affiliate programs selling every product under the sun. That makes it easy to find products related to your current or planned web site.

5. No Sales Experience Needed - When I started my affiliate business, I had absolutely no sales experience. That wasn’t a problem, however. The companies I affiliated with provided excellent marketing material. Using their sales copy, I was able to get my first affiliate site up in less than a day.

6. No Employees - The largest expense of most businesses is employee salaries. Although there might be times when you need or want someone to work for you as an affiliate, it's doubtful you'll ever have to worry about hiring full or part-time employees. When you have a project you want to hire out, it is easy to find specialists in every computer-related field who can work for you from
the comfort of THEIR own homes. You pay only for the project, and never have to worry about ongoing employee-related benefits and deductions.

7. No Expensive Merchant Accounts Needed - Setting up a merchant account for any business is a time-consuming and costly business. It's even more tedious for Internet businesses. However, merchant accounts aren’t a concern when you're an affiliate. The merchant bears that cost and handles all processing of payments. You never have to lose sleep over potential chargebacks, fraud or losing your merchant account when you’re an affiliate.

8. No Inventory to Carry - Even if you live in a small one-bedroom apartment, as an affiliate you can sell large items without storage concerns.

9. No Order-Processing - Forget the problems associated with collecting and storing names, addresses, credit card numbers, etc. The merchant does all that!

10. No Product Shipping - The cost and hassle to prepare and ship products to customers worldwide could be staggering. Affiliates never have to worry about packaging supplies or postal rates.

11. No Customer Service Concerns - Do you hate the prospect of dealing with nasty people or customer complaints? Don't worry about it! The merchant handles the snivelers.

12. Make Money While You Sleep - What other business allows you as a sole proprietor to keep your doors open and keep making money even when you take breaks or after you go home for the night?

13. The World at Your Doorstep - The Internet is the world's largest marketplace. You can drive more visitors to your online store in a day, than many small-town merchants see in in a year.

14. Minimal Risk - The product you chose isn't making money? Dump it. Take down your links and promote another! It's that easy. There are no long-term contracts binding you to products that don't sell.

15. High Income Potential - If you have a job, your salary or hourly wage is probably pre-determined. Maybe there's not much, other than working overtime, that you can do to increase your income. With your own affiliate business on the Internet your income potential is limited only by your desire, effort and imagination.

SEO – What Is It And Why You Need It

Search Engine Optimization, SEO is not something new nowadays. Basically, if you want your online business to be successful, it's a good idea to optimize your site on a regular basis to make sure it's got a good position in the Web's top search engines.

Now, what in the world is this SEO?

Thankfully, most of us here, know what it is, but for those who came in late… SEO stands for search Engine Optimization.

So in other words SEO means if you trying to optimize your site for the search engines, you are basically optimizing your page for those keywords for which you want a high page ranking. Basically, in order to maintain your page-rank, you have to keep on top of what's happening in the rapidly changing search engine industry. The rules that affected your page rank yesterday may be meaningless tomorrow!

Search engines analyze title tags, image tags, link structure, directory structure, keyword density, prominence, and proximity, total words, total words in specific areas, alt tags, input tags, word repetitions, comment lines, domain name, directory name, filename, etc. The list is endless…..Moreover, to complicate things further, each engine has it's own unique way of ranking pages, so you need to create different pages to exactly match the criteria of each one.

So, do you have to use SEO?

The answer to why you have to use it is an easy one. You need Search Engine Optimization to be number one, or maybe at least make your site income generating.

For the past few years, search engines would be the most widely used internet tool to find the sites that they need to go to, or the product or information they need. Most people that use search engines use only the ten top search results in the first page. So you basically need to get it done right. In other words, you need an expert...

Now once again why do we need to pay for SEO, when we can do it ourselves?
When you get online, you would want people to visit your blog and for this you will need traffic and for that you need Search Engine Optimization. Now, although SEO is the hottest way to drive targeted traffic to your site, it costs aplenty, unless you are skilled in it. Likewise, maximizing the benefits of an optimized website will also yield lots of earnings for the marketer.

It is not that people cannot make money from the net; it is because people can’t get traffic to their site. This is mainly because one of the common mistakes in generating traffic which we all tend to make is the method of how we generate traffic. The biggest mistake here is that you are not focusing on generating traffic, but instead, you’ve tried almost every method out there that can supposedly increase the traffic to your site.

If we adopt a pattern, that is to say, the first day, you try and find more links for better SEO, then the next day, you try and generate traffic with article marketing and the following day you try obtaining with CPC advertising – then the chances of getting traffic are much better.

Basically, if you want your online business to be successful, it's a good idea to optimize your site on a regular basis to make sure it's got a good position in the web's top search engines. However, in order to maintain your page rank, you have to keep on top of what's happening in the rapidly changing search engine industry. The rules that affected your page rank yesterday may be useless tomorrow!

With the rapid growth of the Internet, it is no doubt why Search Engine Optimization has become one of the hottest topics within Internet marketing. The amount of daily search engine traffic is staggering, and for an individual who is thinking of marketing their products or services online, the Internet can be a virtually limitless gold mine of potential customers.

However, to reach these customers you will need to position yourself on those same search engines that so many people are using daily looking for your services or products. When queried, a search engine will reveal all of the sites that it has in its database about a particular subject or product. If your site happens to fall into the requested search category, this is called your site or page ranking [PR].

However, and as mentioned earlier, usually only the first few (top 10) ranked websites get to reap the sweet fruit of victory over their competition.

To make matters worse, SEO or Search Engine Optimization is not something new nowadays. In other words, the search engine industry is continually evolving. You need to know which of the major "players" is powering the smaller search engines if you want to know where you should focus your optimization efforts.

In order to achieve this, you need to create multiple streams of traffic for your site. Settling for one source of traffic is simply not enough for most small to mid-size sites, or home-based business sites. Considering the competition most people experience with search engines, not to mention the ever-increasing trend towards ‘pay for inclusion’ with the major search engines, it can be a real challenge to get decent traffic from search engines.

Google is still extremely powerful with Yahoo! a close runner-up and MSN still a distant but threatening third. It must be also noted that many of the smaller search engines plus some paid listings are still powered by Yahoo and Google

Before you can actually begin to start optimizing a site, you must understand how search engines and their robots work. This information will give you a head start on the process of building an optimized web site.

Almost daily, we meet web designers who do not truly understand the function of search engines. This usually results in poorly developed sites in regards to search engine placement that usually disappear. Sure, anyone can build a site with a little practice. However, knowing how search engines work and building a site that meets its ever changing ranking criteria and also achieves top ranking results for key search terms, is quite different.

There presently exist two types of major search engines, robot-indexed and human-indexed. It is important to understand the differences between the two because the way they index pages will dramatically affect your sites position within them. The main idea of web site optimization is about getting ranked on search engines. So, it has nothing to do with how fancy your web site looks or getting ranked in the last few pages. This is where the page rank plays an important part for which SEO is an important criterion.

Obviously it is important to have a practical and easy navigation system and favorable looks, so that you can maintain the visitors you receive form the search engines, but those all come to play after the page rank.

About 95% of the search engines on the Internet are self-indexing or spider / robot indexed. The other 5% are human indexed and are usually referred to as directories. At this point, the important point to learn is that human indexed search engines cannot be manipulated and optimized for, as freely as a spider index search engine can. The good news is that with the advancements in the robot indexed search engines and their algorithms, they are getting closer and closer to human indexed search engines.

Search engines will simply keep on producing traffic forever once your site has been indexed. The problem is getting a good placement (first page) on good keywords and gets lots of searches. This is not always easy, especially if you are in a competitive field. Even if you have a poor search engine placement, you will still get some traffic. Search engines frequently change the algorithms they use for page ranks and for ranking sites. They don't want unscrupulous site owners manipulating their indexing methods in order to get high rankings. By doing so, they damage the integrity of free search!

Regardless of how poorly the site has been optimized, the domain name (URL) will be indexed in most search engines and in almost every case; search engines will be able to return a web site address when asked. This means that if you were to go to a major search engine and type in your site name, you will probably see it right on top of that search engines results. Don’t be deceived by this type of search engine response as search engines categorize sites based on keywords, and visitors search for sites using keywords not the site URL.

Bottom line, most search engines will be able to return the correct URL address for any site if asked to, provided the site was indexed by them. This does not mean that the site is ranking well.

Once again, if someone searches for your domain name, it should pop right up on most search engines.

In fact, if this does not happen, that means your Internet presence has some fundamental deficiencies. To be successfully ranked on a search engine means your web site must achieve a favorable position over others based on a scale such as the keyword used for the search.

As mentioned earlier, the search engine industry is continually evolving and it is difficult to put the entire process into one article. It would take a couple of pages to go about each phase and for those interested in hard-core SEO, it is better to get hold of a book or a much more detailed article source.

Basically, just use the above to get a brief idea on how and where you should focus your efforts on Search Engine Optimization.

Affiliate Marketing - Learning The Lingo

Affiliate marketing is like an on going assignment where you have to try different things out like different advertising techniques, different ways of adding affiliate banners and text links to your site, etc. You may even have to join a number of affiliate programs just to see which ones performs the best with your site content

Learning the Lingo
Here are a few definitions that may help you better understand Affiliate Marketing
and the information you'll be learning throughout this guide:

Merchant
A merchant is a person or a company that markets their products and services on the web. Your merchant is the person/company whose program you joined.

Affiliate
An Affiliate is a person or a company that assists the merchant in marketing products and services in return for a commission. This is you!

Merchant-Affiliate Relationship
In the Merchant-Affiliate relationship, the Affiliate acts as an independent "salesperson" who promotes the merchants products and services. The merchant tracks the incoming visitors to determine which Affiliate sent them the sale - if any.

Tracking and Management Solution
In order to track the incoming Affiliate-referred traffic to their sites, merchants need to purchase or create software to Track and Manage their Affiliates
and their activities.

Click-through
A click-through is the action that takes place when a visitor clicks on a banner or a link on your site to go to your merchant's site.

Impression
An impression occurs when a page containing your Affiliate code is loaded on your site or in your HTML email messages. Impressions are also called page views.

Two-Tier
A two-tier commission structure pays you commission on each sale (or lead or click-through)you refer and a commission on each sale referred by any Affiliates you have referred to the program.

For example: If X comes to your site, clicks on your link, goes to your merchant's site and purchases, you earn a first tier commission.

However, let's say Y comes to your site, clicks on your link, goes to your merchant's site and signs up for the Affiliate Program. When B goes to Y's site, clicks on the merchant's link, goes to the merchant's site and purchases, Y earns a first tier commission (because Y referred the sale) and you earn a second tier commission (because you referred Y).

You'll need to check with your merchant directly to see if they offer a two-tier program. You can do so by checking your administration screen and looking for a "Second Tier Commissions" stat or by contacting your merchant.

Link
A link is a hyperlink (http://www.yourdomain.com) or an image or text that contains a hyperlink. A link is placed on one site and when clicked on leads the visitor to another. In the Affiliate Marketing industry, you, the Affiliate, place links on your site that points to the merchant's site.

Adding Banners and Links to your Website
If you have a website and you'd like to add banners and links to it, you'll need to do some editing. You have two options in editing: Hire a Pro or Do it Yourself.

Hire a Pro
You can hire a web design company to edit your webpages for you. If you're currently working with a web designer, this may be a viable option for you. However, if you're trying to go-it on your own, hiring a web designer to make a few small changes can be very costly.

Do-It Yourself

Doing it yourself is a great way to learn and to save money. If you already have a website, all you have to do is access it, edit it and upload the changes. The best thing to do is for you to add those affiliate links or banners to your site that is on the same topic as the other information on your web page. By doing this, you will not want to add too many affiliated banners or text links as it will just look like a page of links and will only turn your visitors away, about three affiliated links should be enough depending on how large the web page is.

Post Several Links to your Merchant
Don't stop at banner advertising! Look to see if your merchant offers additional linking methods like articles, email ads, signature files, rotating images, product images, guest books and so on! The more links you post - the better your chances are of making a sale.

If you simply place a banner on one of your web pages and expect the commission checks to come rolling in - you're going to be disappointed! In order to earn commissions - you have to become an active Affiliate. Place a few banners on your site, an article and a guest book in your resource section, another article and an ad in your newsletter and a testimonial wherever you can fit one!

Entry Page
An entry page is the web page that you direct traffic to. Visitors coming from your
site will "enter" merchant's site at this page. In most cases this is the "home" or "index" page. However, you may want to link to a specific page on a merchant's site - you can check with them for information on linking directly to a specific page.

Wishing you the best and hope that you make money through affiliate marketing

The Fastest Way to Build Your WebSite

There are 3 steps to quickly build your website. They are:

1. Register a Domain
2. Domain Hosting
3. Buy Template

Domain registration is painless, and CHEAP. Go to Godaddy.com where it will
cost you 8.95/year for each domain. You can get them even cheaper when you
register for more than one year.

Here are two good, yet inexpensive, hosting services that I recommend.

GoDaddy.com - $8.95/mo.
HostRocket - $9.95/mo.

The quickest way to build a website is to buy a template. Here is a list of some of
the best template sites I’ve found to date:

o 4Templates.com
o Templatekingdom.com
o BigWebmaster.com
o BoxedArt.com

Once you’ve placed your content in your template and sent it to your web host, it’s
time to join affiliate programs.

Paying For Links

The reciprocal link principle is simple – find websites with good rankings and plenty of traffic, and trade links with them. But when you’re just starting out, why should a big important site give a little upstart like you any kind of link at all?

There’s only one way to find out – ASK THEM. It helps if you have some kind of relationship with the site owner. But even if you don’t, you can sometimes use the time-honored principle of bribery to get a link from a well-ranked site.

Ask for a link. If you get turned down, say “Would you consider linking to me for $100?” You’d be surprised at how many webmasters will take you up on your offer!

This technique works best with privately owned sites that rank in the top 10 for targeted keywords in niche markets. There’s no point in trying to get a link from Kiplinger’s or Newsweek’s or Vogue’s web site. But if you’re selling weight loss products, and $50 will buy you a link from a small web site that’s ranked #1 for “low-carb dessert recipes,” you’re probably better off buying that link than buying $50 of PPC advertising. This also can’t hurt your own search engine ranking.

Make sure you have a simple written agreement about exactly what the link will say (you want your keywords in it) and the duration of the link – 6 months, a year, forever, etc.

Yes, you’ll have to wrap your brain around your site topic and the products you’re trying to sell. That’s what “targeting” requires – being selective. You have to know not only the kind of visitors you want, but the kind of visitors you DON’T want.

A similar technique involves finding all the sites that link to your competitors, and offering them a cash incentive to add your link to their site. You can find these sites by going to Google and typing in link:www.yourcompetitorslink.com.

Get Listed On Coupon And Special Offer Sites

There are dozens of special offer, coupon, and rebate sites online today. Simply go to Google and type in “coupon sites” and you’ll see what we mean. “Coupon” is searched at least a few hundred thousand times a month. Some smart folks are getting a lot of traffic with simple sites that are just lists of links to various sites with special offers.

How can this help YOU get targeted traffic? The people who visit these sites are looking for a discount, a deal, a freebie, a rebate, or a bargain. If you can offer some kind of special bonus – whether it’s a cash rebate, a physical or digital product, or a service – you can ask to be included on these sites.

As long as you can come up with an offer that qualifies, you’ll get accepted. If you wish, you can create several web pages, each with a slightly different special offer, and see what makes the most sales. Very few affiliate marketers are taking advantage of this.

Yes, it does mean you have to create a little something extra for the people who buy through these sites. You’ll have to track their purchases. But considering that you’ll also be getting incoming links from some very highly ranked web sites, it’s worth the little bit of extra work.

Make Powerful Friends Online Via Your Spam

Another way to make powerful friends online is to read your Spam.

That’s because ALL online merchants want to know if someone is promoting their affiliate product via Spam. It’s not just the Spammer who can suffer some stiff legal penalties – they can too. So if you see someone’s ebook or software being sold via Spam, write to them and let them know.

Make sure you keep the original Spam, and send it to them as an attachment (not
forwarded) so they receive all the headers intact. How can networking help get you targeted traffic? If you make 20 strong, personal, one-on-one business contacts every month, at least five of them will end up sending you traffic. Somehow, someday, they’ll start pushing the right kinds of visitors to you.

It might be by linking to you. They may mention your site in a viral ebook or one of their articles. They might want to do a joint venture or partner on a money making project. They might do all these things – and many more. Yes, it’s old fashioned. It’s not autopilot. It’s not passive. But networking costs you nothing except time – and can be worth gold in the long term.

Old Fashioned Business Networking

Yes, even though we’re all buried in Spam, it’s still possible to make new business contacts online. The recent JV (Joint Venture) craze reflects the simple principle that in the end, people do business with PEOPLE – not with pixels, bits, and bytes.

Old fashioned networking is still alive and well online. And it’s the best method for getting some good exposure if you’re just starting out and have no money for marketing. By building strong business relationships, you’ll soon have other marketers offering to link to you, publish your articles, write about your site in their newsletter, and even offer you free advertising.

One of the best places to make business contacts in your field is in forums. For example, if you’ve started an affiliate web site that sells specialty dog training devices, hang out in the many dog-related forums and newsgroups.

But instead of trying to help end consumers so they’ll visit your site, make friends with experts in related fields. In this case pet sitters, groomers, dog trainers, veterinary assistants, and even animal behaviorists can all be excellent contacts.

As with all business networking, look for ways to help your colleagues. If they have their own site, offer them a link on yours. If they have an opt-in list, perhaps you can set up a special web page, and give them a rebate on any commissions you make. If they write their own articles, perhaps you can turn them into a mini-ebook and offer it to all your visitors.

And there’s no reason you can’t be proactive, and send an email to noncompetitors – or even competitors – whose sites you admire. You don’t have to consider every competitor your enemy. Simply look for opportunities to be helpful.

One easy way to help – provided you do it diplomatically – is to point out a problem on someone’s site or in their ezine. If you find a broken link or some other error, drop them a note. Most webmasters WANT to know if a link suddenly stops working or if their database is generating internal server errors.

You never know where such acts would take you

Offline Advertising

Have you ever wondered why some of the biggest online businesses spend huge sums on direct mail, as well as TV, magazine, radio, and newspaper advertising? Is it because they have money to burn?

No, it’s because mass media ads and direct mail can actually draw highly targeted visitors – prospects who are ready to buy.

Those big companies with deep pockets use mass media ads to create indelible name recognition in the public’s mind. After branding their company into our consciousness, they use direct mail techniques such as postcard mailings to send offers to hand-picked prospects who are most likely to make a purchase soon.

It’s strange, but very few online marketers have discovered the power of direct mail. A handful have learned to use classified advertising – the distant cousin of expensive mass media advertising. But almost none are using other forms of offline ads. This can also give you an enormous edge.

If you make your living from affiliate programs and related upsells, you can bet that your competition isn’t doing any sort of offline advertising If you think offline advertising is too expensive, think again. Because PPC has become so popular, the cost of high quality online advertising is rising dramatically. It’s common for a PPC (pay-per-click) campaign in a competitive field to cost $1 or more per click – sometimes much more. And you don’t even know if those clicks are coming from real prospects or your competitors’ itchy
fingers.

In fact, today PPC can actually end up costing as much, or more, than direct mail on a cost per sale basis. So do the math before you write off direct mail. A mailing of custom color postcards, for example, can definitely cost less than $3 each to print and mail, and that includes the mailing list.

More importantly, you must think about your projected COST PER SALE when comparing PPC and direct mail. Clicks may be cheap, but customers may not. All traffic – whether targeted or not – is made up of people. If these “clickers” are unlikely to be buyers, you’ll lose money on PPC no matter how cheap the clicks are.

For highly competitive keywords you can easily end up paying over $3 per click if you want to be on the first page of Google. If you stop and consider WHO you’re selling to, the direct mail campaign may be a better investment. You can target exactly the sort of person you want, with just the right demographics, and tell them to go to your site where you’ll show them an irresistible offer.

What about classifieds?

With classified print advertising, you can advertise your URL in literally hundreds of small daily newspapers for ridiculously small amounts per ad. And classified ads in major national niche magazines can be very affordable – and usually pull extremely well.

These days, television ads may not even be out of your reach. If you enjoy the spotlight, you can purchase "leased access" time on local U.S. cable television. By Federal Law, every local cable station must allow the general public to purchase time on their channel, in blocks of 30 minutes. Since the costs are also controlled by law, even in large metropolitan areas a 30 minute segment may cost as little as $200.

These days, $200 won’t buy you much PPC in a competitive field like mortgages or debt management. You don’t even have to be selling to a local market to make a television segment pay. As long as you’ve got an easy-to-remember URL, put a special television offer page on your site.

Then offer a high value upsell free to the first 20 people who respond to the “TV special.”

Finally, don’t forget other incredibly simple offline methods of getting your URL out there. Instead of a traditional business card, print several thousand with your URL in huge letters and leave them anywhere relevant. Don’t forget pencils and pens, letter openers and coasters, calendars and T-shirts…

Remember, you don’t need a bricks and mortar location to use offline advertising.

Amazon, Gateway, Dell, AOL, and many other online businesses spend millions on offline promotional methods. That’s what’s made their brands and URLs famous.

You can do the same on a much smaller scale. It’s a big offline world.

Plenty of people spend more time offline and on. Open your mind to using offline
marketing to get your message in front of the RIGHT people. That way you can get your URL in front of targeted prospects. And when they visit your site, they’ve actually made a conscious decision to do so.

Watch The Links In Reprint Articles

If you are using reprint articles on any of your websites - pay attention to where the links within the articles and within the resource boxes are pointing to.

You could have an article that read well with good information - but the links within could point to a ‘no-no’ site.

And you would never know it just by looking at the domain name.

Once you point a link to a website, your own website is associated with it. So if it’s a ‘baddy’, your site could get flagged by the search engines.

It’s a jungle out there. And another reason to hesitate using those fancy automated rss to blog software packages available now. Unless of course you’re just using crash and burn domains.

If you’re not monitoring where your links are pointing to, you could really harm your website.

Article Marketing Tip

I spent some time on isnare.com’s distribution page and discovered a timesaver..

We can submit your article to more than 1,000+ sites who are members of the article announcement/distribution groups that we support, depending on your article’s topic/category. And we will also submit your articles to goArticles.com, articleCity.com, www.jogena.com, FreeZineSite.com and etc…, depending on your article’s category.

http://isnare.com

The smallest package starts at $10 for 5 articles to distribute - that’s $2 bucks an article! If I understand correctly, your articles would be sent out to article distribution groups (that you would otherwise need to subscribe to EACH OF THEM to submit your articles) plus several online article submission sites (62 currently) .

Looks like a good deal to take advantage of if you find yourself spending a lot of time submitting articles. One thing I could never bring myself to do is signup for all the article distribution groups out there.

For $2 an article, this may be worth a shot to test the waters and see what the results are.

Who’s Making Money From Your Parked Domains ?

How many of us have bucketfuls of unused domains?

Well if you do have domains parked at GoDaddy, take a quick visit to one and check it out.

So here’s a thought. Instead of a domain registrar profiting from your parked domain(s), how about changing things so you profit instead?

Make Money From Parked Domains

Sedo.com
Sell-My.com
Fabulous.com
DomainSponsor.com
DomainHop.com

*Note: I have *zero* experience with the above programs. Check out the various terms before choosing one to see which fits best with your domain portfolio (minimum payout, payment methods, traffic requirements, etc.).

I would think earning money from parked domain monetization depends on type-in traffic. Not too optimistic that the domains I currently have will bring any traffic, but heck - it’s free to give it a twirl so why not. If I find out GoDaddy has been making major cha-ching from kazillions of daily visitors on one of my parked domains - I’ll be so mad at myself!

I’ve opened an account at sedo to try things out.

Chitika Plugin

Chitika This and Chitika That - Chitika’s Everywhere!

I still haven’t joined this new earning opportunity, mainly because I don’t have anything online that I feel is a good fit, but no matter where I turn - there’s Chitika!

So I’ve made a list to share for those of you who are using Chitika

So What Is Chitika?

It’s impressive. Dynamically displayed product ads with a small image, tabbed format product information (Description, Best Deals, Reviews, Search).

In real-time, eMiniMalls selects the top products for your web page and displays interactive and robust information such as product ratings, descriptions, reviews, related Blog content and even where users can get the best buy on the net. All of the information needed for comparison shopping - all in one place.

You earn money when your visitors click the ads. According to Chitika’s FAQs page, you earn 60% of the revenue. If an advertisor pays $1.00 per click, you earn $0.60. Sweet deal!

Minimum payout is $10 for PayPal payments (nice!), or $50 for checks.

Can You Use Chitika With Adsense?

eMiniMalls service has no exclusivity conditions. You can choose to use eMiniMalls with any other ad service. If you are concerned about Google AdSense exclusivities, then please note that our eMiniMalls are not text ads and they don’t even look like contextual text ads. We display products and best offers for those products from various merchants

Although I’m-not-real-fond of earning through pay-per-click models and prefer earning commissions on each sale, I’d like to see Chitika do well and grow strong. The more options (and this is a neat one!) we have as affiliate marketers and webmasters, the better our earning potential is online.

CrawlingtheNet PPC Advertising

You just cannot pay a premium for a keyword, bid for it and pay a fortune on advertising, yet not get the right returns. If there is a better way to get qualified traffic to your site, you can do so through http://www.crawlingthenet.com/

A lot of people asked me whether crawlingthenet is actually a search engine or a directory. As some of them have claimed that they found their sites listed there, even though they hadn’t submitted it there. For the records, it is actually a search engine

I advertised on goclick enhance and others and received nothing but wasted clicks and also tried searchfeed and it sucked. I found crawlingthenet sometime back when it appeared relatively new and thought it was ideal for generating traffic. Although you receive loads of traffic and make more sales, you can get the same via Google. But, unfortunately, Google is expensive.

It is a pay per click search engine that provides webmasters and advertisers with targeted pay per click search engine positioning and search results with a $10 signup bonus for new accounts. In other words, with crawlingthenet you could start online-advertising with $10 and receive $10 free which totals to about $20 of advertising revenue. In fact, advertising starts at 1 cent per click. Very few can beat that, and that’s one of the main reasons ppc advertisers are encouraged to try it.

Crawlingthenet search engine’s minimum bid of $0.01 gets you higher ranking on your ads better than Google or yahoo or other ppc engines.

So, if you do any online advertising, visit http://www.crawlingthenet.com/ today.

You also get free credits with their 2 for 1 banner exchange program, so you can earn free advertising.

The-Pepper-Jam-Affiliate-Network

For those of you into affiliate marketing, I am sure you have wished that there were an affiliate network that combined the ease of use of Clickbank.com with the high-quality merchants of the large affiliate networks like Commission Junction and others.

Then check out the Pepper Jam Affiliate network.

Basically, the Pepper Jam Affiliate network is awesome. Launched on January 12, 2008, it combines the easage of use of Clickbank with high-quality merchants such as Phat Farm, Baby Phat, Beyonce's "House of Dereón" collection, Roca Wear and many more!

With all of the merchant's listed, you might think it would be difficult to become an affiliate, but, it is not so. Because it was recently released, it is really easy to get accepted into their program. In fact, they want to encourage people to join and spread the word, so Pepper Jam decided it would be $7 for every affiliate referral made! Pepperjam is also offering now offering a $10 sign-up bonus for new affiliates as well!

Another awesome thing about the Pepper Jam Affiliate Network is that because it is so new, enrollment in nearly all of the 106 merchant programs is automatic (including Phat Farm, Baby Phat, and Dereón)!

There are also a lot of Pay-Per-lead Programs. Pay-Per-Lead programs are those in which you make money by having a potential customer sign up to be part of a mailing list. The person does not actually have to buy anything for you to make money! The amount of money you receive for these programs varies depending on the merchant but range for $7 - $45 per lead!

Furthermore, they have also created the Pepper Jam chat. The Pepper Jam chat is a place in which you can go and chat with a member of the merchant team. You can see the person's picture and whether or not he or she is online at the time. In case the person is not online, you can send them an e-mail. You can talk to them about anything concerning their merchant program, including performance incentives and customized links!

In addition to everything else mentioned, I found out something to really make Pepper Jam affiliate network worth your while. Unlike the larger affiliate networks, affiliates do not have to pay any fees per sale! That's right. This fee is paid in full by each merchant!

The Pepper Jam Affiliate network pays via Check, Direct Deposit, or Pay Pal! The-Pepper-Jam-Affiliate-Network is the only affiliate network created by affiliates for affiliates and has everything you are looking for in an affiliate network and much more! I know you are going to love it as much as I do. You can join the Pepper Jam Affiliate Network by clicking on the link below:

It should be noted that if you would like to promote the merchants listed above by using a blog, web site or some other means, you should sign up as a publisher!

International affiliates are also encouraged to apply!

Maintain An Online Profile With People Search

Lot of people are still clueless about the damage that online profiles can do to their careers as most employers do some homework about the people whom they plan to hire. At the very least, they drop prospective employees' names into search engines such as Google and Yahoo. Some even take things a step further and search for profiles in sites such as Friendster, MySpace, LiveJournal and Facebook.

Hence, where you post your profile also matters. So, even if your online profile is clean, your image could be affected by where you post the profile and what kind of information you put in it. Basically, give importance to the content in the profile and the "site" where you choose to present it and keep the information in your online-profile as neutral as possible, with an emphasis on professional online profile and not personal details,

People Search is an online-reputation-management company and it is a great way to find and reconnect with family, old friends, relatives and just about anyone. It also is a good place to post a small online profile. They also have a personal web page and you can write a maximum of about 1200 words on your page the equivalent to 4 pages on a word document. Besides, the people Search reports include phone numbers, address history, ages, birthdates, household members, home value, income and even more.

They also have a Business People Search lookup page, where you can find old colleagues and even research business associates. The business people report includes education and employment history, company address and phone, job titles and memberships and affiliations.

Perhaps now you can understand the benefits of creating an online profile with people search and also make an impact on what others see, when they look you up or when others are doing a name search about you

Keeping your blog up to date

If you have a blog, you are also going to need to understand the importance of keeping your blog up to date. People want to see updated content on a regular basis. If you continue to have updated content, people will return. To keep your blog properly updated, you also have to keep a close eye on it and how things are changing. Since things can change rather quickly, it’s a great idea to stay on top of it. The more often you respond and remain in contact with your blog and the members that are reading it, the better sense of community you will create and the more comfortable people will feel on your site.

Another good thing about blogs and a good reason to keep your content updated is because the search engines regularly update them. You can raise your search engine ranking and bring more traffic to your site which means more profit to you.

Thought for the day

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bike. Then I realised that The Lord doesn't work that way, so I stole one and asked him to forgive me.

Perhaps, it is the same with internet and affiliate marketing... if you are going to sit and wait for customers to visit your site, and buy products, then you better have a benevolent lord..

Alternately, if you go out and search the marketplace, steal some ideas and analyse these strategies so as to include the products your market and finally re-strategise and if possible bribe the buyers..... marketing would be a lot easier !

Ofcourse, don't forget to confess each Sunday...

Very soon, you will be offering the priest a share as well !

Neuro Linguistic Programming - NLP

Demand and supply has a funny criteria or in other words a standard or a base that it operates from. Whiz kids call it the benchmark, which of-course bounces off a lot of people.

Now returning to where we started……….the market at present, works on a funny standard , that is a 1,2, and 1,2,0 and a 1,2,3 standard. So basically you gotta write down each move [ie., if you have the time and you are quick on the uptake, by market standards] or else, you are lost!

So, where were we now ?

Did someone mention anything about USP……..or a unique selling proposition ?

Now did someone say some-thing ?

Must make an appointment with my psychiatrist!

Now lets create A as the demand and B as the supply and C as the constant. so that whenever there is a break in communication we can always move over to the other side. In other words, you have to know both sides……….

Oops...ego beckons…………. Let’s bathe in it…….or else C cannot control the neurotic……

Now where do the male and female elements fit in …..in such a process ?

NLP should be a lot more organized…..few understand it

Catch up with you later

How poor can people be

One day, a father and his rich family took their son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose of showing him how poor people can be.

They spent a day and a night at the farm of a very poor family. When they returned from their trip, the father asked his son... How was the trip?

Very good dad!

Did you see how poor people can be... The father asked...

Yeah! said the son

And what did you learn ?

The son replied... I saw that we have a dog at home and they have four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of the garden; they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lamps in the garden; they have the stars. Our patio reaches to the front yard; they have a whole horizon.

When the little boy finished speaking, his father was speechless. His son added.. Thanks Dad, for showing me how poor we are..

It is the same with marketing... always assess yourself from a third person's viewpoint or if possible get someone else to do it for you.. You would be amazed at the strengths or weaknesses [in this case the assets and the portfolio your site carries] you have..

So go forth and market thee product !

Affiliate Group Rebrands, Expands into Europe

On the heels of its expansion into the European market, a performance-based advertising company has launched a corporate re-branding. Epic Advertising is the new umbrella corporate name for the combined forces of AzgoogleAds.com and Bazaar Advertising, the latter a search marketing firm Azoogle acquired in 2007.

Epic Advertising chief marketing officer Michael Sprouse said Azoogle and Bazaar will remain distinct business units, facing the approved publishers who monetize their sites through their involvement with Epic. To clients seeking to place ads and receive the traffic generated by those publishers, the Epic brand-name will be the one-stop source for both performance-based and search engine strategies. Typically, Sprouse said, Bazaar's services mesh with clients who want an "agency of record" to handle all aspects of a search-based marketing plan, which can be a complement to a performance-based campaign.

How Do Search Engines Work - Web Crawlers

It is the search engines that finally bring your website to the notice of the prospective customers. Hence it is better to know how these search engines actually work and how they present information to the customer initiating a search.

There are basically two types of search engines. The first is by robots called crawlers or spiders.

Search Engines use spiders to index websites. When you submit your website pages to a search engine by completing their required submission page, the search engine spider will index your entire site. A ‘spider’ is an automated program that is run by the search engine system. Spider visits a web site, read the content on the actual site, the site's Meta tags and also follow the links that the site connects. The spider then returns all that information back to a central depository, where the data is indexed. It will visit each link you have on your website and index those sites as well. Some spiders will only index a certain number of pages on your site, so don’t create a site with 500 pages!

The spider will periodically return to the sites to check for any information that has changed. The frequency with which this happens is determined by the moderators of the search engine.

A spider is almost like a book where it contains the table of contents, the actual content and the links and references for all the websites it finds during its search, and it may index up to a million pages a day.

Example: Excite, Lycos, AltaVista and Google.

When you ask a search engine to locate information, it is actually searching through the index which it has created and not actually searching the Web. Different search engines produce different rankings because not every search engine uses the same algorithm to search through the indices.

One of the things that a search engine algorithm scans for is the frequency and location of keywords on a web page, but it can also detect artificial keyword stuffing or spamdexing. Then the algorithms analyze the way that pages link to other pages in the Web. By checking how pages link to each other, an engine can both determine what a page is about, if the keywords of the linked pages are similar to the keywords on the original page.

Use Keywords In Page Titles

It is recommended that you use keywords in page titles itself.

This title tag is different from a Meta tag, but it's worth considering it in relation to them. Whatever text one places in the title tag (between the [title] and [/title] portions) will appear in the title bar of browsers when they view the web page. Some browsers also append whatever you put in the title tag by adding their own name, as for example Microsoft's Internet Explorer or OPERA.

The actual text you use in the title tag is one of the most important factors in how a search-engine may decide to rank your web page. In addition, all major web crawlers will use the text of your title tag as the text they use for the title of your page in your listings.

If you have designed your website as a series of websites or linked pages and not just a single Home Page, you must bear in mind that each page of your website must be search engine optimized. The title of each page i.e. the keywords you use on that page and the phrases you use in the content will draw traffic to your site.

The unique combination of these words and phrases and content will draw customers using different search engine terms and techniques, so be sure you capture all the keywords and phrases you need for each product, service or information page.

The most common mistake made by small business owners when they first design their website is to place their business name or firm name in every title of every page. Actually most of your prospective customers do not bother to know the name of your firm until after they have looked at your site and decided it is worth book marking.

So, while you want your business name in the title of the home page, it is probably a waste of valuable keywords and space to put it in the title line of every page on your site. Why not consider putting keywords in the title so that your page will display closer to the top of the search engine listing.

Dedicating first three positions for keywords in title avoiding the stop words like ‘and’, ‘at’ and the like is crucial in search-engine-optimization.

Google Guides And Adwords And Adsense Guides

There are many ways to make online and of course you can either start your own affiliate marketing home business or work from home and achieve this. Google Adsense is a fast and easy way for website owners to display relevant ogogle ads on their website's content pages and earn easy money. Because the adverts are related to what users are looking for on your site, you don't have to sell a thing.

You simply sign-up to use the [pay per click] PPC service and then, upon approval, you are able to choose the style of online ads to place on your website. This can be in the form of traditional banner ads or text links, in a variety of shapes and sizes. You also have the ability to manipulate the foreground and background colours of the PPC advertisements, allowing them to be blended into your sites style. Each advert you publish on your site has your own unique publisher id, allowing click throughs to be credited to your PPC account. So, what does Google Adsense actually do ? Google Adsense is a program in which you get paid for targeting your readers to another websites product or service.

A click through is measured when someone actually clicks on the hyperlink. A great many web sites now have ggoogle dsense ads employed. Google Adsense uses Google AdWords content and services in a display box that you place strategically on your website. Google AdWords customers pay ggoogle a determined amount of money to place their ads. Google passes on around 60% of this value to dsense users whenever an ad is clicked on. If you want to monetize with ogogle aadsense, you have to pick topics whose Adwords advertisers spend mega-bucks per click. If you haven't already done so, open up a Google AdWords account and create a new campaign. Add a list of keywords (one niche topic at a time), then click on 'estimate traffic'. The resulting page will show you the average cost per click for each keyword. Make note of the most expensive words in that list and optimize your pages for those phrases. That's how you'll really profit with Google Adsense. With ogogle adwords cost per click pricing (CPC), it's easy to control costs, and you only pay when people click on your ad. There is also cost per impression (CPM) pricing for those who prefer to target individual content sites and pay by the impression. You can set your daily budget, starting from 5 cents, and you can write your online ads, select the keywords of your choice, define your own target area and start seeing results. Google AdWords account is fully customizable for any advertiser, and with no monthly minimum spending limit or time commitment and only US$5 to set up your account, ogogle adwords is the ideal marketing tool for small to medium businesses. Besides, there are thousands of companies (that offer products and services through ClickBank) that need online promotion. This seems to be an exciting business practice and you can make easy money from participating everyday. Just choose a product - one that has an affiliate program. Set up an advertising campaign at a PPC search engine like ggoogle and choose how much you want to pay per click. Write a three-line advertisement and add your affiliate link. Whenever anyone clicks through your ad and buys the product, you earn a commission. Start by conducting a few test campaigns and soon you would be having one or two showing results. Then draft a time frame and over that period of time, test a couple of campaigns for a whole range of affiliate products. It is likely that within a month, you could be having several profitable campaigns. While the concept is simple, getting your campaigns to run profitably takes some expertise. You can also visit some forums for more guidance such as digitalpoint, webmasterworld and the warriorforum, and the guides highlighted in this page can also help you

Create And Use Your Own Ads

Many affiliate programs nowadays provide you with promotional materials that you can use. These sometimes cover the full spectrum of advertising, such as banner ads, PPC ads, classifieds, text links, ezine recommendations, solo ads, forum signatures, and even blog posts!

Try taking the provided material and see if it is appropriate for your list.

You can always rewrite what was provided in your own words and using your own usual tone of voice. As most of your subscribers know how you normally write to them. If you use the text provided by the affiliate merchant verbatim, chances are that they will not know that it was written by you.

Also, many of your subscribers are also subscribed to other online marketers’ lists and they will be receiving the same promotion from them. If your email looks exactly the same or even similar, your subscribers are going to lose some respect for you, as you have just regurgitated an email supplied by the affiliate merchant.

This will make your email, ad or promotion stand out and avoid the problem of being just another "me too" ad which your subscribe will be tired of getting.

Improve Your Search Engine Ranking Potential

The basic "out the box" WordPress SEO settings are not enough to fully optimize your blog, but there are a number of plugins you can use to enhance your WordPress blog further:

1) Make a decision - to use, or not to use, the www. prefix in your blog URL's...

If your blog uses URL's which include 'www.' and others which do not, the search engines will index two versions of your blog and aside from the possible waste of bandwidth from double spidering, one of them will be filtered as duplicated content. While this problem might be real or just a storm in a tea cup, being pro-active seems to be the wisest option.

You need to decide which system you want to use and stick to it, always!

The Redirections plugin by John Godley allows you to specify which system you want to use and will automatically create '301 redirection' for other URL's. For example, if you decide to use the 'www.' prefix any link to your blog that does not contain the prefix will automatically be redirected to the correct URL which contains the 'www.' prefix.

The major advantage of using this plugin is that it also creates re-directs if you choose to change a post slug (used for the post file name). It also creates redirects if you decide to change your permalink structure and already have posts indexed in the search engines using the old permalink structure.

2) Create Optimized post title tags

The SEO Title Tag plugin by Stephan Spencer is an essential plugin. By default WordPress places your blog name, a separator and then your post name in the title of each page (i.e. between the [title] tags). The SEO Title Tag plugin reverses this and places your post name before your blog name in the title. From a search engine optimization stand point this is advantageous, because:

- It gives the keywords in your title more prominence.
- It provides more meaningful search engine listing results.
- It provides more meaningful browser bookmark names.

One of the major advantages of this plugin is that you have the ability to create a unique title tag for your blog index page and separate title tags for your category pages. By default, WordPress just uses the blog name for the index title and category names for the category page titles.

3) Include description and keyword meta tags in your blog's [head] tags

Including meta keyword tags in your blog's header is not a necessity, most search engines ignore them, but including them won't harm your search engine optimization chances on some of the simpler search engines.

Some search engines will use your meta description in their search listings, others like Google will display all or part of a sentence which contains the first instance of the keyword or phrase being searched. The most obvious thing to do would be to add your keyword phrases into the meta description tag, but these must contain a call-to-action (e.g. make the reader want to read your article).

Creating a compelling meta description which includes all your keyword phrases makes it somewhat difficult for programmers to build a plugin for creating automated meta description tags...

The most common meta description solutions are plugins which take the first 100 or 150
characters from the first sentence to include them in the meta description. The most effective meta keywords plugins are those which also handle the tags you add to each post.

Here are two plugins for you to consider:

i. The Ultimate Tag Warrior plugin by Christine Davis is the ultimate tagging solution for bloggers, but it can also include the tags you add to your posts as meta keywords. This plugin can be used for a number of different features on your blog, so it makes sense to use it instead of different plugins for each feature.

ii. The Head META Description plugin by Kaf Oseo takes your post excerpt or if you don't enter one, the first 20 words of your post content and includes them in a meta description tag.

To get the most out of this plugin you need to get into the habit of writing an attention grabbing post exert (or first sentence) for all your posts. This is a good article writing habit to get into whether you use the plugin or not.

5 Things To Consider When Publishing A Newsletter

Providing a newsletter for your opt-in list subscribers provides many benefits in terms of driving traffic into your site as well as boosting the sales and profits of your site and company. This is a marketing ploy that will not hugely dent your marketing budget and will not also require many man-hours in developing this project.

With a newsletter, you can inform the public about your company and products as well as services. You can keep them posted and updated about what’s going-on with your company as well as many of your promotions and offerings. With these, you keep on reminding your subscribers that you are still here and is willing to offer them good deals and services.

Newsletters also allow you to impress your subscribers. It can show your expertise and knowledge about the topic at hand and the many benefits you can offer them. When you impress people, they will become potential customers and another great thing is that they can recommend you to their friends, colleagues and family. All of them could very well be customers in the future.

If you do not have a newsletter or publishing one for your site, then you may have to consider about researching and be well informed on how to publish one. It is not as easy as it seems but if and when you get the right idea and process, it will be smooth sailing from there on. Try to take the time to learn what you need to learn and get that newsletter ready and good to attract subscribers to your newsletter as well as traffic to your site.

In the next few paragraphs, I will provide you with some things to reflect on when you decide to start your own newsletter for your site. Here are five things to consider when publishing a newsletter.

1) Make sure that the content of your newsletter pertains to and closely associated with your business or the theme of your site. Do not dwell too far on what could be regarded as your field of expertise. You have started a site and your theme for your site will always be something you are knowledgeable about. For example; if you have a site that sells auto car parts, your newsletter must contain articles or content like photos that pertain to cars, auto parts and such. You may also include content about your company and your staff.

Remember that visitors of a certain site are there because they are interested in what the site has to offer. If they sign up for an opt-in list or for a newsletter this means that they want to be updated for that certain theme or subject. Be sure that when you publish your newsletter you are providing for the need of the subscriber as well as their interests.

2) Ensure that you have well written, information riddled and content rich articles. You articles will be the body of your newsletter and that they should be able to excite your readers as well as provide information. Articles should be well written and checked for errors such as spelling and grammatical errors for it to look professional and believable. The trust of your client to you and newsletter is at stake here.

3) Fact-check your articles. Make sure that you provide true facts and figures so that your reputation as an expert and knowledgeable in that field is not questioned. If you lose the trust of your subscribers these may persuade them to unsubscribe to your newsletter. You will lose many potential sales this way.

4) Provide fresh and new articles that can provide new information to your subscribers. If you publish stale and old news in your newsletter, there is a tendency that people or your subscribers already have read and known about them. This will lose their interest in your newsletter and they wont get to read what is most important, your ads. They may not open or read any of your succeeding newsletters losing your intention in writing and publishing newsletters, to get them to visit your site and make a purchase.

5) Never use copyrighted materials such as photos and articles. This is outright plagiarism, you may get into a lot of trouble for this. You can lose your business and get sued over copyright infringement. If you do not have the time to write your own articles, there are many willing and able professional article writers that can do it for you for a reasonable fee. All your investment in writing and publishing articles will be well worth it when you see your list build up and your traffic increasing.

5 Ways to Keep Visitors Coming Back

A lot of successful websites depend on returning visitors to account for a major part of their traffic. Returning visitors are easier to convert into paying customers because the more often they return to a site, the more trust they have in that site. The credibility issue just melts away. Hence, keep your visitors coming back to your site with the following methods:

1) Start a forum, chatroom or shoutbox

When you start a forum, chatroom or shoutbox, you are providing your visitors a place to voice their opinions and interact with their peers -- all of them are visitors of your site. As conversations build up, a sense of community will also follow and your visitors will come back to your site almost religiously every day.

2) Start a web log (blog)

Keep an online journal, or more commonly known as a blog, on your site and keep it updated with latest news about yourself. Human beings are curious creatures and they will keep their eyes glued to the monitor if you post fresh news frequently. You will also build up your credibility as you are proving to them that there is also a real life person behind the website.

3) Carry out polls or surveys

Polls and surveys are other forms of interaction that you should definitely consider adding to your site. They provide a quick way for visitors to voice their opinions and to get involved in your website. Be sure to publish polls or surveys that are strongly relevant to the target market of your website to keep them interested to find out about the results.

4) Hold puzzles, quizzes and games

Just imagine how many office workers procrastinate at work every day, and you will be able to gauge how many people will keep visiting your site if you provide a very interesting or addicting way of entertainment. You can also hold competitions to award the high score winner to keep people trying continuously to earn the prize.

5) Update frequently with fresh content

Update your site frequently with fresh content so that every time your visitors come back, they will have something to read on your site. This is the most widely known and most effective method of attracting returning visitors, but this is also the least carried out one because of the laziness of webmasters. No one will want to browse a site that looks the same over ten years, so keep your site updated with fresh bites!

Affiliate Marketing - Flexible Payments

Flexible Payments Available - Every Other Month

The only thing worse than not being paid on the agreed upon payment schedule is not getting paid at all

Email advertising as an affiliate marketing tool

Direct promotion that are using email has boomed over recent years, but has brought with it mountains of spam. If you intend on using email as a method of advertising products and services, you have to be sure that you stand behind the products you’re promoting and make yourself available to answer any questions that may be asked. If you hide from people, they will wonder what you are hiding.

An effective promotion technique that I have found is to combine email with the ad article strategy. This generally means creating an ezine or newsletter promotion that visitors can sign up for that goes directly to their email inboxes. You can occasionally put a summary of a product or service, however, you should include just enough information to stir the curiosity of your readers in an ezine.

The summary then contains a link to the ad article on our site. The benefit of this is not only that you have a good opportunity to promote the product or service, but while visitors are on your site they may also look at other sections at the same time This way you as the advertiser benefits through having highly targeted potential clients visit their site.
